Random Acts of Harping June 24 2012 at Evergreen Lake

Random Acts of Harping Day is an opportunity for harpists all over the world to share our beautiful instruments and music with the public. Most people have never been up close and personal with a harp! Take your harp out in public and just play.  Of course, if it's random, you can share your harp whenever the mood strikes!!

Co0lorado Irish Festival

Thanks to Lisa Clark, the Colorado Celtic Harp Society was well-represented at 2012 Irish Festival.  Lisa instructed many interested would be harpists of all ages on her colorful sharpsickles!

Several members of the Harp Society participated 2012
Harp Fantasia at the Lakewood Cultural Center.

2011 Annual Harp Retreat
Music, laughter, learning and fun aptly describe a Colorado celtic harpist! Adult players of all levels are invited to come to this fun and relaxing retreat weekend. Past retreats have taken place in private cabins near Grand Lake, Colorado, providing a wonderful environment for learning, friendship and playing the harp in the Rockies.

Margo Krimmel (left) was our guest artist at our retreat in June 2011.  She performs here with Penny Anderson and Gale Brown.

We were very happy to have Sunita Staneslow here for a return visit thin 2011.  She taught three workshops for our fortunate Colorado harpists:
Improvisations for Body and Soul, Christmas in August and The Passion of Jewish Music.  She also gave an absolutely beautiful performance at the Unity Church of Denver.  She is a wonderful teacher and performer and person!

Martha Gallagher was  a welcome visiter in 2011.  In addition to her brilliant performance at the Unity Church of Denver, she, too, taught three workshops:  From the Heart on the mechanics of songwriting, Beautiful in Blues, and Exuberant.

Deborah Henson-Conant gave one of the most energetic concerts performing her original masterpieces to the awe of a spell-bound audience.
